The ATA Tigers program is a Martial Arts Program specifically designed for children ages 4-6

ATA Tigers (ages 4-6)

Warrenton, MO (preschool - first grade)

Our ATA Tigers program is developed specifically for children ages 4 through 6.

ATA Tiger characters help engage students and teach TAEKWONDO tenets such as courtesy, respect, and discipline.

Classes are safe and fun!   Our fast paced 30 minute classes are designed to improve children's motor skills, enhance their ability to pay attention, and follow directions, and at the same time builds their confidence and courage to try new things.

The taekwondo based curriculum provides students with the most fun and exciting training methods available for this age group. The program works in conjunction with other programs, thereby emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system. Upon graduation, ATA Tigers move into the "Junior" or "Big Kid" program.

Tigers can earn eight collectable animal patches to display on their uniforms as follows: Turtle for white belt; Tiger for orange; Cheetah for yellow; Lion for camo; Eagle for green; Phoenix for purple; Dragon for blue; Cobra for brown; Panther for red.

No soul or spirit is ever too young to start it’s own journey. The foundations of our morals, values, and core character traits are formed in our early years. For this reason, the ATA Tigers program is an essential way to enhance the growth and development of pre-school and kindergarten aged children.

U.S. Center for SafeSport Trained

To keep sport safe, we identify safe instructors, volunteers and staff before they start working with athletes.

"S" is for Safe!  If an instructor needs to talk to an athlete or treat an injury, two adults are always present.

"A" is for Action! - When something isn't right, we take action.  Parents are encouraged and welcomed to watch classes and help make sure the climate is safe for ALL kids.

"F" is for Fun! - We play well as a team and treat others with respect. Even if we don't win, we still have fun because we love to play our sport.

"E" is for Everyone! - The rules apply to all of us. We treat each other fairly. Everyone is welcome to participate.

SafeSport provides free training for Parents and children of all ages.  Find out more at

The Van Horns have been wonderful with our 5yo. They are very well structured and have a great system for their beginners to succeed. If you are considering martial arts for your little one this is our first choice in the area. Even amidst the quarantine they have adapted and created videos online for the Tigers and we do Zoom sessions every week with them live. Our son is loving it even from home. They’ve gone above and beyond.

Highly recommend Excel Martial Arts | ATA Martial Arts | Warrenton, MO for their outstanding dedication to their students. Instilling knowledge, work ethic, camaraderie and discipline in their daily lives, while having a genuinely fun experience....Bravo!

I absolutely love Excel Martial Arts. Their instructors are very good and take the time to really learn each student's needs and abilities. They are very patient and work to make sure each and every individual is learning the curriculum and don't feel overwhelmed. "They have helped me feel confident, learn self discipline, respect, and improve me as a person",(from the mouth of my 10 year old).
As a parent, I also feel that my child is in good hands and they let all of us parents watch and answer any questions we may have. My personal experience has always been positive and I feel my daughter has the best opportunities to grow and EXCEL!

Excellent family oriented martial arts program. They work hard to make sure everyone is comfortable and their needs/concerns/insecurities are addressed. My family recieved support in more ways than I can comment in this review as I have two special needs children and I myself am extremely shy and uncomfortable in a group setting. We are very grateful to have met and been instructed by Amy and Mark and their wonderful children. We would definitely still be actively attending had it not been for a move out of county resulting in too long of a commute. You will not regret deciding to invest in your overall health, mindfulness, and emotional well-being by joining this martial arts program.
